Storing Lingerie…Show The Brasseries Some Love!

Hello Lingerie Lovers,

Ladies love to buy lingerie.  If you’re like me, before I began selling lingerie on my own, I would drop an easy $200 – $300 in just one shopping trip, even if I knew I probably couldn’t afford too!  I now realize that I was throwing a lot of my money away because I didn’t take care of the lingerie I purchased!

Now that I sell the lingerie, and have done a lot of learning over the years, I get asked all the time about different subjects, including storage.  I have posted many gadgets that you can purchase or DIY over the years, but I just want to cover the basics in this blog.

I myself use my bedside two drawer night stand to store my lingerie.  I use the top drawer for sports and active wear bras and the bottom for molded or padded bras.  I have A LOT of bra sets.  Call it an occupational hazard…

I have a variety of each type, underwired and wire free (mainly the sports bras are wire free).  And I also store the matching undie with the bra.  For the wire free bras, I simply fold the straps in and then fold the bra in half, at where the gore or hooks would be.  The undie is packed neatly in the fold.  So it’s pretty much a square.  Then I stack them across the drawer, so I can easily grab a set when I am ready to go to my kick boxing class, jump on the stationary bike, or play on the Wii for my workout.

My unpadded bras are pretty much stored the same as my sports bras.  I fold the straps and band inwards, sandwiched in between the cups, along with the matching undie.  I then use them in the cups of the molded bras, to help keep the molded bras shape!

The molded bras are stood up in the drawer, laid across the drawer.  I do not fold the cups into one another, because that forms creases and causes damage to the bra.  Not that creases can’t be worked out or that it will show under most shirts, but I just don’t like the look anyway.  So I usually lay a bra out and put the matching undie in one cup, and then use an unpadded “sandwich” as described above in the other cup. I alternate the cups “filling” so that their is a balance and the bras will help one another keep their shape.

Until next time,
XOXO
